News

Would you be willing to foster a dog until we can find a permanent foster home or a forever home? This could be a day, a week or longer. We try to match the personality of the dog with the foster household. FOAC will provide food and pay all vet costs. You provide a little space, some love and socialization. Boarding is sometimes the only option and the cost of boarding would be better used for medical purposes. Give us a call if you are interested in providing a foster home. Donations are always needed and welcome at any time! A donation of any amount can help save a life. We have a special medical fund called "Charley's Fund" which covers medical costs above & beyond spay/neuter & shots. We can always use donations of food, toys, dog houses, crates/kennels, bedding and always veterinary services. Opportunities for you to help include: foster homes, transportation, help at adoption days and administrative help.

Who We Are

We are a group of volunteers dedicated to improving the welfare of our shelter animals. Our mission is to find suitable loving homes for the many wonderful animals in our shelters. FOAC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, all volunteer with no paid staff. The only funding we receive is from private donations and fund raising events. Donations can be sent to FOAC, PO Box 4627, Sonora, CA 95370. PUPPY - KITTEN SEASON - if you have a mama dog & puppies or mama cat & kittens and need help with spaying, call & we will try to assist you. We can also help in the placement of the puppies & kittens. Through a "Courtesy Listing" on our Petfinder site we may be able to help you re-home your dog or cat due to an emergency or a hospital stay.
